Our Heritage

The sonora.com domain was first registered on 5 March 1994 — one of the oldest .com domains in existence.

From mid-2022 to early 2025, sonora.com was home to Sonora by Atresmedia, a pioneering Spanish-language audio fiction platform that produced dozens of original series and earned coverage from El Pais, Vogue Spain, and more.

In early 2025, Cognitive acquired sonora.com and launched the Sonora AI sound healing app — transforming the domain from a home for audio fiction into a home for audio science. The thread connecting both eras is a shared belief in the power of sound to move people.
