What Sonora Does?
Sonora is an AI-powered sound healing app that listens to your voice, understands your body, and creates a personalised soundscape in real time.
Your vocal biomarkers — the subtle signals in your vocal cord tension, breath support, and vocal jitter — reveal whether your nervous system is in fight-or-flight mode or a calm, restorative state. Sonora reads those signals and builds a soundscape that meets you exactly where you are, blending binaural beats, Solfeggio frequencies, nature sounds, and ambient compositions into something that is unique to you, every time.
This is not a playlist. It is personalised sound therapy, shaped by your own biology.
The Science
Every modality Sonora uses is grounded in peer-reviewed research published in journals indexed by PubMed.
- Binaural beats — two slightly different frequencies played in each ear create a perceived third tone that encourages the brain to synchronise. Studies show 6 Hz binaural beats increase theta brainwave power, promoting sleep onset. Theta binaural beats have demonstrated a 77% greater reduction in chronic pain compared to placebo.
- Solfeggio frequencies — tonal frequencies including 396 Hz, 432 Hz, and 528 Hz, studied for their effects on relaxation and autonomic nervous system regulation.
- AI vocal biomarker analysis — Sonora’s technology detects physiological stress markers from your voice and tailors the soundscape to your current state. Vocal biomarker analysis is a rapidly growing field in health technology, and Sonora is among the first consumer apps to apply it to sound therapy.

Our Heritage
The sonora.com domain was first registered on 5 March 1994 — one of the oldest .com domains in existence.
From mid-2022 to early 2025, sonora.com was home to Sonora by Atresmedia, a pioneering Spanish-language audio fiction platform that produced dozens of original series and earned coverage from El Pais, eldiario.es, El Confidencial, Vogue Spain, publico.es, Fotogramas, The Objective, nuevatribuna.es, and Europa FM. Its catalogue included productions such as Cuando fuimos la Fox, Madame Thermidor, El Constructor, Sokoa, BCM: el amo de la noche, Bacon, Malas decisiones, Detras con un revolver, Silencio, Cara a cara, and Ni chivatos ni membrillos, among others. The platform featured on Spotify’s podcast creator directory and several productions were referenced by IMDB.
In early 2025, Cognitive acquired sonora.com and launched the Sonora AI sound healing app — transforming the domain from a home for audio fiction into a home for audio science. The thread connecting both eras is a shared belief in the power of sound to move people.
